does anyone know if and where tempilaq can be obtained in aust?
i am keen to try some in an attempt to improve annealing of cases.

WESS (welding equipment sales and service) on cormac rd wingfield. pricks to deal with but should have what you want. or try gasweld. the biggest welding shop with the least amout of welding gear!! sory im just bitter. . . . whyyyyy dont they have decent welding shops!! :cry:

I found the Australian importer via Google. The upshot is that they did not have the one required for Brass in stock, and the estimated cost to get it from the US was more than the Hornaday annealing kit that Sinclair offers which includes the Tempilac.

the stuff we use for pre heating welds is actually like a crayon with a aluminium casing to protect it.

you can get it in various temps just like the tempilaq but you dont have to paint it on it just writes like a crayon. i dont know how much they are worth each but doubt they woud be as much as tempilaq.
