Berger 180gr 7mm VLD...$114 a box!!!
Went into a local gun shop today to pick up some powder. Looking around the shop I saw they had some Berger bullets for sale. You can imagine my horror when I saw the above price for the 180vld's. $114??

G'day All,
my understanding is BRT are the sole distributors for Berger in Aust and sell only by mail order. I also believe they have 2tonne/100,000 bullets in the first shipment and a further 2tonne/100,000 on the way.
All sold at cost plus a margin. So as target shooters, if this info is correct, should mean we have quality AND quantity of bullets to choose from, especially when you add Sierra and Hornady into the mix. But REMEMBER to support your local custom bullet makers because they just might be the next Walt Berger in the making!

Not quite so Ned, Parabellum Imports are the sole Oz wholesalers but seem to have struggled, mismanaged and priced the product too high. Berger heard about it and another supplier (BRT) was found by Berger Bullets to represent them more competitively in Oz.
Parabellum can be found here: http://www.parabellumimports.com.au/html/index.html

Ned,
I was in vicarms last week and they are still importing and advertising berger projectiles. When i was talkign to BRT a few months ago he said he was doing retail sales only and not interested in taking over the wholesale business from parabellum.

I've had some 180's lying around but hadn't really done any load development because of the ongoing cost of the projectiles. Now with more sensible prices and better availability I went out and had a play with them yesterday and had some promising results not to mention a bruised nose...I've only been shooting a 30br and a 6br for the past year. Now I'm getting greedy and want to try the 168's and the new offerings in the 180's. I love having OPTIONS.
