DanZac (tungsten disulfide

Post by richmac »

Hi All
many years ago I got some Danzac from the States to coat my bullets.
I found it ok as it did not build up like Moly can.
My question is ....is there a distributer here in Australia that sells it ??
I would appreciate some feed back on this  Richard

Not that i know of i bought mine in from the US 8OZ of it it cost about US$76.00 +75.00 tosend it andAU$65.00 Government TAX so it makes it expensive. i have some Molly but haven't used it yet am still using the Tungstan
. have been using it on my new SS Barrels .223 Rem and 2 .308 and they have had 600 rounds through them and there is no throat erosion. Bruce

lubricating bullets does not stop throat erosion.
reducing heat can reduce it, as it is caused by burning, not friction.

Sorry i don,t agree with you that is not my findings on 3 barrels that i have used it in. It may not with molly but with tungstan it works, have never used molly, and a lot depends on how you use it i never wipe off the excess powder when i have finished coating them and i put the bullets in a plastic jar and seal them and pick the bullets up with a pair of tweasers to load them in the case, i dont like handling them because the moisture on your hands can turn the sulfides into sulphuric acit and you know what happens when sulphuric acid and copper come in contact.
