So tell me, with the 69gn SMK's am I best suited with AR2208 instead of the 2206 that I have been using in my 55gn reloads?

2206 prob the go with the 69 gr. 2208 a bit slow, but you can prob use either. The 2208 works really well in the 223R with the 80gr proj and 30 inch barrel. Using a leade suited for the longer projectile, you can fit 25 gr of 2208 and have it fill the case. We use CCI 450 primers.

But, as usual, you should test all your loads at lower settings first, in your rifle.

Hi :D gunnie, this is my loads i use for 300 to 500 yards in f class.

for the 308 savage m 12 i use from 100 to 300 and out to 1000 yards, 26 inch s/s barrel in 1/10 twist,i use 45 grains of ar 2208 with 155 hpbt nosler with rem cases and rem large primers,o.a.l 72.5 mm .

and gunnie i have used your load of 43 grains of ar2208 with 168's at 72.5 mm o.a.l (but used 168 sierra's) good load for my savage 308 model12 as well , thank you

these loads suit my rifles, so always load below and work up is always the rule  .

Rod & Barry:
thanks for the load dataguys. Will chase up the components and prep some loads for the next range visit.

Glad the load was a good one in your rifle Barry. I've also used this load to hunt red deer with. It was dynamite on neck shots out to 300M. I managed to pull off three one shot kills at 357metres with that load. All three does didn't know what hit them.
