Things in 2208 powder???

#1 Postby Woody_rod » Sun Jul 06, 2008 11:34 am

Hello all,

Ive been reloading a fair bit lately (dont we all :-(, mostly for the club rifle in 223R.

Just lately, I have seen a few odd items in the 2208 powder ive been using - like (what seem to be) sticks of powder up to 12-15mm long, bits of what look like sand with a coating of graphite, and a hair from a brush of some sort, complete with powder coating and graphite.

Weird, anyone else found "greeblies" in their powder?

Did you keep these items so they can be sent to Thales for inspection?

I didnt think to keep the items, probably in the bin here.

Triplejim, I havnt noticed anything unusual about what comes out of my barrel, but I dont really pay much attention either.
