omark dimensions

g'day all, just a quick question on the dimensions of an m44 action eg: length, circumference and take down bolt sizes.

Hi Stuart,
Doesn't look like anyone is going to give you an answer, so I will.

Length of action is 180 mm plus another 35 mm approx if an adaptor is fitted.
Diameter of action is 34.5 mm

Takedown screws are-- Tang, 1/4 UNF
Recoil plate, 1/4 BSF
If an adaptor is fitted it will probably have 1/4 UNF T/D screw same as tang.

Thanks for that Barry, its very much appreciated.
I was just trying to figure out which other actions are similar in size as i know of a few rifles getting scraped and was thinking of grabbing one of the stocks to tie me over for a little while till i can get one made.
I am even at the point that i am willing to swap my winchester m17 and a box of factory ammo for a stock if somone is interested.

Can someone tell me what size the threads are in the adapter wile they are at it? What size barrel threads that it.

Barrel thread in the adaptor is 1" x 14tpi.
