Caldwell fire control rest

Post by max_1983 »

Hi all, would anyone know where you can get replacement elevation and lock knobs for the Caldwell fire control full rest. I would prefer metal rather than the plastic version.
Thanks in advance

Get someone to turn them up for you to suit. While you ur at it, get a Farley billet box top for it with a good Farley type bag. Makes it into a much more user friendly rest.

My friend from the Sydney area and I both bought these rests and we modified the internals with a cabinet makers scraper for a bearing wall for the spring loaded gudgeon screws my friend made. I bought knobbed screws at the local hardware store for the vert lock. I also bought a SEB front bag for 3"wide stocks and it worked JUST FINE!. I replaced the rest with a "better" one but still used the Caldwell for F Class till my body wouldn't let me shoot prone anymore!
