Tall Gun Safe

#1 Postby Weairy » Tue Oct 02, 2018 3:28 pm

Hi all,

Struggling to find a cheap gun safe to fit 3 x F-Class Rifles in comfortably, without breaking the bank. Chasing something with a keypad type lock and key override. Needs to be at least 1400H x 300D internal to fit rifles with scopes.

Any suggestions?

You will find that the ammo box in the top of most safes are only a tack welded piece of sheet steel. A lump hammer and a cold chisel quickly converts a safe with an ammo box into a "long" safe with no ammo box. Recently changing rifle from a 28" barrel to a 30" barrel meant I have just had to do this modification.

Yes, just cut the crappy little ammo boxes out of them!
