Off topic, but I've just bought in some Berger 184gners & Hybrids from RI. The 184's worked out to be .94 each.
cheers

Bruce how well can we get those lead slugs going? What rig could we have fun with on our targets given the reasonable limitations such projectiles pose. Certainly a class of its own for the fun of it given the cost this sport is becoming. Amazes me when raw materials are at lowest prices.

NEW – 7mm 184gr F-Open Hybrid Target Bullet
Posted June 25, 2018
Official 7mm bullet of the US F-Open Rifle Team

F-Class is one of the fastest growing precision rifle shooting disciplines, requiring the very best precision and accuracy to compete at the top levels. Rifles and other equipment have continued to advance as the sport becomes ever more competitive, and Berger has always been dedicated to making the very best bullets for our shooters. To that end, we, along with the US F-Open Rifle Team, are excited to announce the release of the new Berger 7mm 184gr F-Open Hybrid Target bullet.
Our renowned ballistician, Bryan Litz, designed the new 184gr F-Open Hybrid to be slightly heavier, slightly longer and have a more aggressive ogive shape; giving it a ballistic advantage to our existing 7mm 180gr Hybrid and VLD Target bullet designs. This bullet complements the 30 cal 200.20x Hybrid Target bullet that was released last year in collaboration with the US F-TR Rifle Team. Just like our 200.20x bullet, we took an existing design and optimized the ballistic profile to make it even better.

The US F-Open Rifle Team tested these bullets thoroughly to make sure that they performed as well on target as they did in theory. The results are in, and we are all pleased to say that this bullet will be the official 7mm bullet of choice for the US F-Open team. “The United States Rifle Team 2021 F-Open is extremely excited about the release of the new Berger 184gr F-Open Hybrid. Many members have tested the prototype bullets with outstanding success,” says Dan Bramley, Team Captain.
To support the team, Berger Bullets will donate $1.00 for every box of 7mm 184gr F-Open Hybrid bullets sold towards U.S. Team expenses for the upcoming 2021 F-Class World Championships in South Africa.
The 7mm 184gr F-Open bullet is ideal for loading into 7-08 Rem, 284 Win, 7mm SAUM, 7mm RUM, 7mm Rem Mag and other popular 7mm cartridges.

Matt, I ordered just under $1000. ($940) included post etc so no GST. I found that if I applied for several permits or a single large permit, RI will post in small lots as required up to the permit limit. In saying this, the $ has dropped since I ordered in July. RI are very easy to work with.

Run up a 6.5x47 Lap Imp, shoots up to a 1000 yards, pushes 140 grainers to the 2920 FPS node with around 39.0 to 39.3 grains of 2208 out of a 29" to 30 " 8 twist barrel with long barrel and case life. Shoots one hole groups, I run two of these rifles, a 300M rifle and one for 1000 yards, you can also run Copperhead bullets if you cannot get Berger's.

As far bullets selection in 7mm with limited Berger's, I run separate barrels to shoot SMK's, yes SMK's are dearer but its better than throwing stones?

Looks like someone cut and pasted the 200.20x story.

So for every box of Bergers we buy, we will be supporting the competition?
