Looking to try some 2209 loads in a 6br 1:8 twist 26" shooting 105g scenars. Is this powder suitable? or should i stick to 2208.

How are you going mate,

I would think that 2209 would be too slow in the shorter barrel and you wouldnt get the velocities you really want but maybe in a 30 inch barrel it might be alright.
I use 29.9 of 2208 in a 28 inch lilja with the 105 A max for about 2880 fps.
Hope this helps
Firepower usally means an increased number of misses per minute. 50 misses are not firepower. One hit is firepower

G'day Sixmill,
I have seen 33 grains of 2209 used with good results,
but 30.5 of 2208 works just as well without compressing the load.

I have heard - from a usually very reputable source - that a compressed load of 2209 shot extremely well in a 6BR.

But few use it which may mean something.
