Norma 300WSM brass?

#1 Postby DenisA » Mon Jan 20, 2014 12:18 pm

HI All,

I've been phoning around LGS's trying to source some 300 WSM Norma brass. I've phoned a few shops in NSW and NQ also and had virtually no luck.

Grasping at straws here, but...............does anyone know of any suppliers that may have some in stock?

Cheers,
Denis.

Thanks for the PM's Brad.

Paul thanks for the advice. There's a bit of Nosler 300wsm brass around, but the approx. rate of $95-$100 per 25 cases is a joke. Not afunny one either.
I'd rather buy 400 Winchesters and cull 100............. even if it means more brass prep and re-developing load.

Norma are a good case at a reasonable price, if you can get them.

Wow. Four dollars a case... For a 300WSM.

I thought $6.00 per case for 30-378Wby cases was bad enough. That's what I paid a few years back. Fortunately, it is only used for long range hunting and I don't dare lose a case.

Barrel life in that calibre is none to impressive either. Gotta love that flat trajectory though.

Given its $67USD ($80AUD) per pack on the shelf in the states the local price isn't that bad. When I mean it isn't bad I mean the price difference between the USA and here and not what Nosler are charging for it.

If I already had cases to use I would be waiting for the Winchester or Federal brass that's only $40-43USD per 50 but if I didn't have any brass to use in a new rifle I would just buy 100 Noslers without question. I don't see spending $400 on 100 cases as a deal breaker if you have just spent $5000+ on a nice new shiny rifle, by the time you have killed the 100 cases the chances are you will be able to get more federals or Winchesters.

They are not a lot more than buying a box of Lapua 338LM cases at $3.5- each.
