Re: NSW F-Class Association Match
Great to hear someone has finally organised a Bisley long range event. How about some Victorians and QLDers making the trip to Ungarie?

Sounds like a great match.
Is there a special energy/velocity limit (different from the standard NSW) or cartridge restriction?

The town that time forgot close to West Wyalong. A garage with six basic motel units & a pub with upstairs (indoor facilities) & downstairs acceptable rooms that you hike upstairs to use. As a last resort, you can shack up in the showgrounds with due notice.
The Bowls Club can usually be convinced to put on one dinner, if promoters approach them & the pub can manage most others. There is a cafe, or was last time I was there.

Dennis, won't this dilute the numbers in the Bisley competition?
I'm keen on the shoot if it is Bisley Pairs. If it was simply a long range shoot over 2 days, then I'd probably just stay in my home state as it is an 8 hour trip each way.
Can we make it the best of 3 days event? That would make the trip more appealing to me, and possibly others.
To keep costs to organisers down, competitor marking too?
Cheers on getting the ball rolling!

They have good, experienced markers there for a reasonable price. Not many ranges can boast that these days.

I'm happy with paid markers. Just made the comment in passing.

From what I’ve heard with the interest shown so far it is most likely it will now all be Bisley style.

For the life of me I do not understand why!!! This is Australia not Bisley or Canada or anywhere international. 90+% of participants would have no inclination to compete internationally, what about an Australian match????? Just asking!!!!

Because you can do things the Australian way in about 400 different rifle ranges about 50 weekends a year. This one will be the first time we will have a shoot run this way on the East Coast. (The Golden Bullet in WA will have Bisley style as well).
Those of us who have tried pairs firing enjoyed it and think it will improve our wind reading. There will be some who won’t want to try pairs firing, but they have 399 other ranges they can shoot on that weekend.

As a TR shooter I'm keen! Enjoy bisley style shooting, not enough of it shot I think!
