Super stoked for Dr.Nik, a well deserved medal from the world champs after her massive effort getting us all here.

That was great shooting from both of you in those conditions with a 308. I know Nikki beat my score at the final 900 and I think you might have also Jason

My feet are just starting to touch the ground now after a big week of competition in all sorts of conditions, all long range, 2 to a mound Bisley style. I did come here to win but obviously didn't expect to go as well as it did.
There are a few people I really have to thank for my win.
Dave MacNamara. Without you getting this team up and running, we likely wouldn't have made it here. You are the professor of F class and it would have been great to have had you here. Maybe South Africa in 2021?
Craig McGowan. You must be getting by on 2 hrs sleep a night with everything you have on your plate. You gave up your own individual chances of winning medals in the World Championships to look after the team. Much appreciated. Awesome job.
Marty Lobert. I know Marty wanted to back up his medal in the last World Championship and lately was in form to capture the title. Like Craig, Marty has sacrificed his chances of individual glory to assist Craig in running the team.
Shane and Sharon Dowling. This pair would have been pulling their hair out trying to sort our paperwork and then looking after us on the range. Thanks for your help and thoughtfulness.
Bartlein Barrels. Thanks to Bartlein barrels for sponsoring our team, The gun I used in the Canadian Nationals and the gun I used to win the World Championship both had Bartlein barrels.
Berger Bullets. Thanks also for supplying bullets for our team. I used 180gn Hybrids in both of my guns and all others in our F class team used Berger 180gn bullets.
Nightforce Scopes. Thanks so much for supplying the Nightforce scopes for our team. Great Optics, lovely scopes.
Matt Paroz. Thanks for the gunsmithing work done on my two rifles. One I used in the Nationals and the other in the Worlds, both were the most accurate rifles on the line and the ammo switch perfectly between each rifle.
As for the other team mates, we are getting along great and everyone is helping each other out. There is so much depth to our team this time. With Adam Pohl joining me in a podium finish and Peter Carter in 8th as well as Peter Larsen, Tim Nugent, Nikki Slee, and Jason Mayers getting range and daily aggregate world championship medals. Pretty much everyone else in the Open team has at some stage been very close to medal positions at some stage and many guns are working so well.

It is midnight here and I have been cleaning and borescoping barrels while eating cold pizza and drinking flat Pepsi, so it is not all celebrations and dancing girls just yet. In the morning we have our main team practice day for the World teams championship which we have come here to defend.
Goodnight all.

I guess every country competing (apart from the yanks) will claim him as a dual citizen and therefore one of theirs as well.
Very well done to all of you.
I nominate in the tradition of Bisley that we now address Rod with a WC at the end of his name. Mr R Davies W.C.

Saves time if we can all shoot at once

Nightforce scope support for the team!? Well that just helped me decide on my next purchase....I had been looking at another brand but this sponsorship has tipped the decision in their favour!

Hello all.

A snapshot at Australia's history at F Open FCWC.

2002, Ottawa, Canada.
Top 10, Individual.
5th Bill Hallam
TEAM, 2ND.

2013, Raton, USA.
Top 10, Individual.
2nd Marty Lobert
7th Alan Fraser
TEAM, 1ST

2017, Ottawa, Canada.
Top 10, Individual.
1st Rod Davies
3rd Adam Pohl
8th Peter Carter

Is something trending here?

It is easy to see the USA as our main opponent, but Great Britain and South Africa are not to be ignored. Martin Townsend is the world's pre-eminent wind coach and is in top form; look at his performances in the FCNC and the Individual.

That said, there is no one from Craig down who take anything for granted and they know it is only their performance that count.

Calm, concentration, endurance and, yes, courage; I wish all these to you.

Regards,
John Tracey

Dear Kodiacs.

Before Barry, Bruce, Eric and Gordie declare me total bear breath and give me single passage to find Franklin, I should point out that there were 6 Canadians in the top 16 combined scores of the FCNC and Individual. Australia had 5.
