Lads
Range is looking good. Great shoot on Saturday and thanks for the assistance with the extra shoot. Really looking forward to the weekend. Weather should be at its best!!
Those range flags and conditions are something to behold - just got to watch Dave Boreman channel his inner North Arm knowledge and knock out a 126!! Sensational effort.
Cheers

Got a few pics but not many because the camera decided to keep turning off.
Check out Cam Mc's AWESOME 60.9 at 300 metres not yards. Might be something in that AMAZING damper.
Josh is on fire too with the 6 Dasher.

Even after a strong start, it looks like Cameron will be doing the dishes tonight

Get stuffed
I certainly have some issues to work through after a touch up of the throat. I expected to easily find a load with Hybrids............
I don't want to talk about it anymore in case I burst into tears.
The really good news from the weekend was an extraordinary performance by Josh Reid from Ipswich RC shooting his 7 SAUM today, and only dropping one point on a much rougher day than yesterday . As an example, yesterday's winner....ex TR shooter Andrew Burns who has a world of experience and just got right into F Open....was shooting his 284 today, and pretty sure he dropped 9 at the second 600. That was after winning a shoot off this morning with Gary Towers to claim the money from yesterday. He was (like me !!) in red hot form, but it couldn't save him from North Arm.....his own Club.....on a bad day.
Just to rub salt into my very raw wounds, Gary shot a 22 BR until the last range today. Prick !!
I also think we can safely call Cam McEwans new prophylactic styled barrel weight an unqualified success. It is certainly very edgy to look at, but he also shot some incredibly tight groups.
Sometimes, though, nothing can save you from an insane range like North Arm. Yesterday was quite mild compared to normal bad days, but today way much much harder.
If the Yanks, Poms and Canadians had seen Josh today, they would be thinking about conceding defeat in Canada for the FCWC without firing a shot Seriously superb when other very good shooters were getting belted over the fence.
Craig McGowan had massive scope problems, ......something seriously amiss with his internals......and shot a borrowed 284 (from Std A winner Andrew McKillop) for a handy second 600, so ignore his scores for today as it was an anomaly
Extreme accuracy and precision shooting at long range can be a very addictive pastime.
