Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Yeah that's an amazing effort!
To pull off a full queens clean at the house of pain with a double 800m tomorrow would be something pretty special.
Here's hoping he can do it but if not its still some of the best shooting I've heard of at Lower Light.
The weather has been great sunny and mild. I'm about 1hr from the range and it certainly wasn't dead calm by any means but it would have been just enough to keep it interesting.

Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Well I don't know what it's like at the coal face but it is DEAD calm at my place!! There is probably a bit of a sea breeze on the coast but from where i am it's going to be tough for anyone to claw back Stuarts lead in conditions like this!
I'd rather be there but making some good progress in the workshop building the new loading headquarters in this good weather none the less.

So it's Stuart home on 477-39 by 3 points from Geoff Krake 474-42 and Ridhard Braund 474-40
Sixtten year old Chris Di Cerbo (471-36) wins his first Queens in FTR from Mark Fairbairn (470-40) with Shane Green third on 465-27
Sorry ,I am on the way home from my local Club and can't post scoreboard photos off an IPad.

Well done the winners.
Thanks Tony. You shouldn't have to post the photos. We've seen over the last few days the results have gone up quickly when things are working as they should. This reminds me of a Rugby Sevens tournament I was watching on Channel 10 once. They showed it live throughout, except for the final - they ran out of broadcasting time .

Amazing effort Chris! !! To knock Mark off one of top and most experienced shooters in the game is a huge achievement. Chris has been shooting consistently well locally so don't think this is the last you'll see of him at the pointy end!
Well done Captain! Man I was hoping for a queens clean but to only drop 3 in the house of pain is pretty darn good in a state level event.
It would have been a perfect few days to spend at the range regardless of where you finished well done to all the competition.

Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Congratulations Stuart on another Queens win and 9 ranges in a row without dropping a point.
How about Chris Di Cerbo, winning the F/TR Queens at 16. They need to bring out a juniors division in F/TR so the experienced older shooters can have a chance.

Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Norm, the biggest story is the weather difference from October & the range, just look at the pictures; green everywhere light winds cool nights and warm days. For those who couldn't make it based on previous Lower Light weather, well it was totally opposite. I looked at the new accommodation, perfect for staying on the range, and nearly 4 star motel quality.
A pity Stuart couldn't complete the perfect score and he wasn't about to be chased down by the pack. Interesting to note that 2 perfect 400's were scored in TR.
Lots of 284W's, 280AI & a couple of SAUM's. I don't know of any other Cals being used, maybe they could post what they used?
Congratulations to Chris in FTR, to beat Mark was truly a big step up and i think the start of more to come from him. Frank, you've done a great job, keep him going.

Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Great to see the young ones jumping to the top of FTR! First Liam in Victoria, now Chris in South Australia.
I'm glad to see they're not shooting F Open
Great shoot Stuart, it sounds like Lower Light is becoming more hospitable. Blue skies, green grass, what next? NO FLIES
Well done Krakey on splitting the Braund boys!
Well done to the other winners.
Sounds like a positive move by SARA to pick a new Date for the series, looks like I might have to go there next year for a shoot!

Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Hi All
Thanks for all you kind comments and well wishes and congratulations to all other winners
The best part of the queens is always catching up with all the shooters new and old with a throffy or two with lots and lots of laugh's
With superb shooting conditions I had very kind conditions right the way through and would of been happy to go home after the second day
Hopefully we will have a lot more competitors next year, with the Fantastic shooting conditions, prefect weather, no flys, great on range accommodation, there is no reason not to come, so book your holiday NOW and see you next year
Hope to see lots of you with the teams shoot in August at Brisbane
Kind regards Stuart

Re: SA QUEENS and HUNT LEADUP
Great to see you do it again Stuey (for the 3rd time). So, do we now call Lower Light Queens the "house of pleasure"? . I'll be over again next year to sample the new weather and facilities.
