Cessnock OPM

Cessnock put on a terrific day and the shooting was exceptional by many. :D
With a very good roll up of 82 shooters this has been a well attended shoot for a number of years.
The range was picture perfect as were the conditions.
After the first two ranges the leading shooters looked unstoppable,In TR Duncan Davies 100.20.FSA was led by Gary Falkner 120.13, followed by Geoff Willis 120.12 ,then David Avery on 120.10.F open was also a very close affair with Paul Brown leading on 120.19.But as all good competitors know it's not over until the last shot is fired!!!
And what a finish,in TR A grade was taken out by Mark Bunt 150.? FSA was a real nail biter,Gary Falkner left the door ajar by shooting a 5 on his last shot giving him a total 179.15.Next to shoot of the leaders was David Avery and after shooting a 5 early he composed himself to finish on a number of super centres to take victory on his last shot! With a total of 179.16 using a 223.
But the 6BRs showed everyone how it's done!.F Open was taken out by Paul Brown(North Sydney RC)with an exceptional tally of 180.25,closely followed by Jeff Eppelston on 180.23.
A great day was had by all.
