OK Everyone
Who's going to the Nationals ??? Last year when I asked where was everyone there were quite a few gunnas so time to put your money where your keyboard is!!
On a serious note we need to get numbers to this shoot especially the locals even if it's just the Queens and not the lead up.
I will be there for the Queens only and I hope to some of you there.

Matt,

If I lived anywhere near it, or was retired (just another year or 3), or won a lottery....

I agree Matt - its a very important shoot, and needs our support. Good on you for making the effort - here's hoping the local shooters support it too. In particular, we need a local shooter there who has web access and can do a nightly diary for this Forum - any takers?

Alan :)

Lets get a few things straightened out here. First yes I'm all for the nationals going back to Canberra BUT thats not going to happen and Canberra is probobly better for it as they can now run their own Queens and reap the benefits. Secondly I want the sport to grow and if promoting the Nationals at Belmont acheives that then so be it. I like to think that I put the growth of the sport before all else and would suggest others including you to do the same !!!!

Matt, I will not be there, to close to our big shoot in Townsville, but I hope to make the QRA Queens at Belmont in August.
A bit of trivia: I shot the the Cairns and Inland district prize shoot last Sunday. At the 600 range I was posted 4th with a score of 98. Goes like this: Tony Zubalj 99, counted out Peter Smith 99. Barry Ellis 98 counted out me 98. rest of scores was 97,96,95,93,91.and it wasn't what I would call an easy range. Agg results were Howard Simpson 1st, Me 2nd, and Peter Smith 3rd. :D

Tony
I think someone been telling you lies. Entry fee for the Queens is $120.00 about the same as most of the others give or take. This is the kind of misinformation that causes unneccasary shit fights. I'm not for 1 second saying the NRAA are angels but not turning up and supporting this event hurts us (the F Class community) more than it does them.

G,Day Raven!
On the subject of expenditure, it cost me around the $1K all up to do the Queens in Bris. last year, but that included hauling a van down and back. This year the cost will be higher - fuel has gone up another 25% since last year.

Even though I feel it is inportant to get as many F Class shooters to the Nationals as possible, distances to travel, and associated costs, plus is there enough incentive to make it all worth while, must play a significent role in the attendances for F Class at the Nationals. If you peruse the ad. in Target Rifle issue No.61,there is no incentive for F Class Shooters to attend, this is sad. There is no mention of F Class badges, or number thereof. It is also hard for one to understand what the actual nomination costs are, all up for F Class. There is no mention of what the F Class Lead up nomination is - is it included in the Queens' fee?, or is it the same fee as the Presidents' Match?

Very confusing.
