jeff,
paul could bring his benches, to lower light, & with what is there we would have plenty.
alan,
perhaps you would like to bring a team of mexicans along.

I second this sentiment whole heartedly and no-one is pulling the rug out from under him!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paul has asked me to discuss this with the SAFCA committee and as a possibility for being a one off event at Lower light. I will be discussing this with the committee over the weekend.
Bruce if you want to put your hand up to help out, it would be much appreciated!

Thanx Bruce!
I think something good will come of this hi-jacked thread and hope you will get involved.
Alan...
Any chance of moving the BR part of this thread to a new thread called BenchRest IN SA
Thanks,
Ian

Bruce, in discussions with Paul and the committee if you want to suggest a competition format for BR at Lower Light then the balls in your court! I know some members of CTV have in the past spoken about this possibility so now is the time to explore what may be possible and are the numbers (shooters) there to support it.

Sounds like Lower Light has serious competition for future BR events. It sounds good Adam, look forward to seeing what evolves. In the meantime the 1000 Yard Postal BR is on again on the 17th April 2011 at Monarto. It will be a good chance to let us all know what you have in mind at KRC.

ian,
which committee do you speak of. checking with the fclass committee suggests that they don't want to touch br, other than to go along for a bit of fun sometimes as individuals.
also, not sure who in ctv is keen to go into br.
my original suggestion that the event is held over easter at monarto, in conjunction with the mbrc prize shoot seems to have the greatest merit.
that way it would be easy for paul to handle it.
