Jim Clifford Trophy

#1 Postby dave » Mon Jan 31, 2011 6:05 pm

Most people would be well aware that Jim Clifford is the custodian of the longest standing Australian 1000yd BR record.

Jim presently holds the Australian IBS LG record for the smallest group of 3.285” which he set in July 2003 with his 308.

Compared to the ballistic advantages of many other calibres, all experienced competitors would readily acknowledge the additional degree of difficulty associated with shooting calibres such as the 308 or 223 in LRBR.

Therefore as recognition of Jim’s achievement and as an incentive to promote and reward 308 & 223 participants in 1000yd BR, the Narromine Dubbo Rifle Club has established and will award the Jim Clifford Trophy to the top shooter for group aggregate in both the Traditional and Standard Classes for the Light Gun Categories in future bi-monthly 1000yd BR club competitions.

cheers

Well done to the Narromine Dubbo RC for striking a trophy for future competitors. There should be more like this to recognise efforts of those that have gone before us.
