Tassie Queens 2010 - F Class Open and F Standard
Just a reminder to everyone that we have a NEW DATE for the TASMANIAN QUEENS.
Its now on from 4th March to 8th March. (The old VRA date)
Everything will be shot on ICFRA Targets with a Super V for everyone.
F Open and F Standard will be scored out of 60.10 and all F Open and F Standard shooters will be squadded in with everyone else.
There will be A and B Grades for F Standard, as per the "Davies" system of grading.
Last year we had 1 F Open entrant. This year I'm hoping, hoping, hoping..... that there will be more, so that we can justify having an F Open Category.
So what about it, F Open shooters? Please turn up. the movement needs you to do so in order to keep your part of the sport going.
Please email me if you are contemplating attending, as I'd like to be able to tell our State Council that there will be enough to warrant keeping the class.
There are daytime sailings of the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry as well as night time ones. Daytime sailings are cheaper as you don't need a cabin. Day sailings are on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, and arrive at 6.00pm. It takes 2 hours to drive to the range at Campbelltown.
There are nightsailings each evening, and the boat arrives at 7.00am. Getting firearms onto the boat is relatively simple. Email me and I can help, with details.
If you are looking for accommodation, then Google "Accommodation Campbelltown" or "Accommodation Ross - Tasmania". Ross is a small town 5 minutes South of Campbelltown.
Cheers and Hope to see you on the range.

Accommodation for Tassie Queens
Hi Again Everyone,
I've just discovered some relatively cheap accommodation at Ross that would be ideal for shooters, especially if you are travelling with mates or partners.
Ross is a village about 5 minutes drive south of Campbelltown. Its also a beautiful place to stay.
The Ross Motel, Caravan Park and HOLIDAY CABINS are all under the same management. There are 5 cabins, (no ensuite, use the Caravan Park Toilets and Laundry) two with 4 singles, two with 2 singles, one a double & single. Cost is $30 per head per night plus $5 for linen and towels.
As of today (10th January) they are vacant. If you do enquire (Ph. 03 6381 5224) ask for John and tell him Bob sent you.
Have a look at these sites:-

http://www.rossmotel.com.au/park.htm
http://www.rossmotel.com.au/rooms.htm
Unfortunately, accommodation in and around Campbelltown and Ross is a bit tight. The Campbelltown Hotel/Motel is already booked out and most of the other stuff is B & B type. Nice but sometimes a bit pricey.
Cheers

The whole shoot has the 5 SSSSS's
Sun, Sand, Shooting, Sex and Satisfaction. Six if you count Seafood. 7 if you come by Ship.
Come on in then.
I won't say that every shooter wins a trophy, but someone will.
God knows what it'll be, be you know the old saying.... You've got to be in it to win it!
After that, you'll probably be known as the Wind King of Australia.

As for the 5 SSSSSs.
Sun, yep, means it Isnt raining
Sand, Doh, I hope it doesnt mean I split another rear bag.
Shooting, yep, as long as I pack the right guns and ammo, hope it should happen.
Sex, Ummm, I am sharing a room with another F open shooter, so I am hoping it is not on the agenda.
Satisafaction, well,my room mate is a nice enough bloke, but I am hoping the satisafaction you refer to is not related to the previous "S"

He certainly has - two possibles today and a convincing win. Well done Rod ! And what's more he actually got the better of Peddo, which is no small task these days, particularly on international soil . Congrats to you too Bob .
And now for the Queens. I've heard a whisper there'll be a few more in F-Open too.

I have put the MR results on the NRAA website in a quick and basic format.
