Adam,

Do shooters have to pre-nominate, or can you do it at the range on the day?

Darren

Dazza,

Nominate on the day mate. What type of shooting are you interested in?

Hi Barry.

My rifle is only suitable for F-Open. Its a Panda Light Varmint benchrest rifle in 6PPC, 14" twist barrel using 70grn Sierra's. Have only shot a couple of club matches with the Vic. Police Rifle club. Have a Macmillan MBR Tooley stock on order along with a Maddco 8" twist 6mm barrel, to be chambered in 6BR. Have shot the PPC out to 600yds and its not too bad...... Gets blown about by the wind though :) Looking forward to trying it out in competition.

Good Morning All,
Well, Castlemaine PM has been and gone and could be described as nothing less than a huge success.
We promoted F class for weeks before and the shooters did not let us down.
Of the 72 entries we had, 28 were F class shooters.
18 F Standard and 10 F Open.
F Standard was Divided into A and B grades with 7 A grade and 11 B grade.
Gary Hunt from S Bgo won A grade with 172/180
Liam Walter from S Bgo won B grade with 165/180
F Open was won by Bill Seigloff from Bendigo with 290/300

We had apologies from a further 8 F Class shooters who for a variety of reasons could not attend.

Results speak for themselves,--Promote your side of this sport--give the shooters what they want ( not what you want them to have ) and they will repay you be giving their support.

It's as simple as that.
All this crap about targets, equipment, and rules which appear to be designed to stifle the sport ( and I use the word crap in the strongest sense)-- the average shooter couldn't give a s--t about, all he or she want to do is shoot and enjoy.

Barry,

A very pleasing roll-up \:D/, particularly F-Open - I didn't know there were that many in the State! Congrats to Castlemaine, and to the badge winners =D> .

Another event coming up (not yet in ozfclass.com Event Calendar), is the Geelong OPM (indoor mound) early next year. Barrie Wright has come up with a recipe for using the championship target for F-Open. I believe they will use the 4 ranges 300 (new), 500, 600 and 700m for TR and F-Std, and assign the 800m targets exclusively for F-Open. I'm all for it - and its good to see they are making the effort to provide for us, so I hope we can repay them with a good attendance in both F-Classes.

Alan :D

Hi Barry.

A big thank you to everyone at Castlemaine for a very well organised shoot. It was my first F-Class match and I had a ball. Big thanks to the people in the kitchen for the BBQ lunch as well :) .

Hope to get to a few more shoots there in the future.

All the best,

Darren White
