Bruce,

Good idea. I hope you get a better response than the Qld and NSW posts. I believe you will - SA shooters seem to be very "web savvy".

Alan :)

Hi Bruce

Short of a major catastrophe I'll be there with bells and whistles on, just try and stop me. Of course I'll bring the other two along, just to make up numbers mind you

I spoke to Noel Osborn from my own club yesterday. He competed in F-Standard in the SARA Queens last year. I told him it would be on the championship target, and although he is disppointed that the change hasn't yet been publicised, he still intends to be there. Unless the change is made known widely and very soon, I don't think the attendance numbers will be a good guide to the level of acceptance of the championship target, because some may be already committed before they find out.

Sam,
All these major events are listed in the Target Magazine, grab a copy and have a read, there are some interesting articles in there from time to time

Hi Sam

The SARA Queens is the 29th Sept to the 3rd Oct. In addition to the magazine as mentioned by Paul, Alan has the Queens and other Open events listed on his "Events" page which can be located from the homepage of this site.

Hi Alan

As I have let you know, the issue of communication of the change in match conditions is being looked at, this notice is so others are aware that it is being addressed.

Perhaps people will be happy to know that with the use of the championship target each competitor will be given a clean centre, no having to worry about how much of the line is missing.

We hope people will take the jump and at least try the target, as you have discovered it is hard to get worthwhile feedback without people being prepared to have a go and then have some input.

That's all we ask, try it and then tell us, even if it's to tell us you hated it, which I hope you don't, I know how much its improved my shooting. Incidentally, I shot my first Queens on this target having used it about three times before and having no range settings as I was using a different scope, still aquitted myself OK, using my Std 223 rifle in Open class (managed one silver range medal, I was happy)
:D

all hail to thee o mighty yogester,
i have not the faintest idea of your identity, but you are obviously a man of the type of immense wisdom which can only come with great age, tempered by the heart of a much younger man.
see you there,
bruce.
