Re: 2019 National Teams Match WA Queens
The God's of wind are comming, and we've stocked up on the baked beans
The weather forecast looks brilliant, so bring it on I say!
Should be a hotly contested competition between the states, I'm certainly not underestimating the calibre of the WA F Open team.
Looking forward to catching up and having a few beers. Does anyone know how bad the WA beer is?
It might be a bit far for Stanley to make an appearance, considering he was last seen in Townsville.

Hi bartman, Mark Azzo and I have just arrived in Perth and you wouldn't believe it Stanley was at the bar in the airport. He's here and ready to play.

A few of us had a chop today at 400 and 500 with Perth Freo RC . All I can say is , Wow what a shooting complex!! You must come and have a shot over here !! Simply world class facilities! Range was heavy with what I call washing machine mirage . The range read very true and honest however it was only 400 m that I shot at . It it reminds me very much of Dalby . But ask me in a few days time

Hey G man
You must have built up enough points to get away!
If you’re going to do some reporting some pics would be nice for those of us who don’t like reading
The range sounds like a good one.
Good luck all

Definitely some pics would be great, through a spotting scope if possible? Best of luck to all

I heard on the grapevine that the F-Open team of a particular state enjoyed spectacular success at 1000 yards today......

Re: 2019 National Teams Match WA Queens
Ok I’ll do a Berry report . We started off the morning with teams practice. Qld just got zeros at 700,800,900 m . Conditions were constant running about 3 to 8 mph and from memory as I was just trigger pulling. Was consistently from the right .
Some states squeezed in the last bits of practice available and others were ready to go for it ! Yes the Wind stig was here along with a good NSW team . Then the Vics , Wa , Sa all had strong teams ( Open ) and us Qld’s knew we had our work cut out for us ( and still a long way to go too!)
So after lunch it was straight to 900 m’s for a Wind Coach Punishing 20 shot and 2 match . That’s 100 plus rounds in a session for the coach !!
The conditions started out okay ish then went south . Victoria had a blinder and took home the ham . With my former Trans Tasman team mate Albert shooting 2 nd highest score for the day . A Seibel top scoring for the day for NSW !
The scores seems to tell the story with a number of sub 110’ scores . Telling how twitchy it was and then a good patch did show up now and then.
Tomorrow 700,800,900m 15 and 2 and by the fore cast it sounds like it’s going to be a cracker of a comp that is far from decided with 2nd to 3rd , only 4 points in it and 12 between 1st to 2 nd . And still , really anyone can take it and the minor placings by no means decided !
Bring on tomorrow! But I’m glad I’m only trigger pulling . Full marks to my Qld coach ! He worked his tail off today !!

Re: 2019 National Teams Match WA Queens
Well , this morning at 800 and 900 yds it was tough and Qld and other teams got carved up in the change from right to left conditions gusty at about 16 -17 mph .
Thankfully at 700 m’s conditions stabilised and Qld and other teams finished strong .
Tough day at the office for wind coaches and I’ll glad I was only pulling the trigger .
