one reason i raise this pointis to avoid pitfalls which have occurred with our sa fclass assn representation.
all representation must be transparent, with the rep a servant of & answerable to the people.
when both the people & the rep understand this the system will work.
i am not looking for problems, but am trying to avoid them, & am certainly not being divisive.
the open forum is the place to discuss these issues, as problems might be avoided before they arise.
the beauty of discussion is that snapping orders doesn't work.

Hello again from Canberra,
Firstly, to you highly political SA people, I have just posted on the Rules and the Future forum at http://ozfclass.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=233&start=75&sid=29692e3ddd3a6d2e9aeab324d636f623. That is the right place for your concerns. Please do not hijack this thread which is intended to be about the enjoyment of shooting rather than the rules!
Meanwhile, back at the range, except for a short period at the beginning of the 300m, conditions were quite tricky again today, but some managed to get through it with respectable scores. See todays results. We have 21 in the F-Open field, which some are saying is the most ever at an Australian event. I think that is very encouraging for the future.
The new faces today are Barry Duncan (6.5x55AI), Trev Otto (243AI), Bob Eager (6.5x55), Darren Chapman (6.5x284), Ken Melgaard (6BR today), Alan Peake (6.5 Arch), Steve Hurren (6.5 ??).
Back again tomorrow night - the longs tomorrow will be the makers or breakers!
Alan

Hi Alan
From what Trev tells me I think he would agree with your assessment of things being tricky today, I don't think he liked the flags very much, something about them not always telling the truth.
It's certainly an impressive field and very incouraging for the future of the sport.
Thanks for your update post.

Hello again from Canberra,
Well, here we are at end of day 2, with the long ranges behind us. Weather was difficult as expected, and everyone got some of it in every shoot. Some just handled it better than others (e.g. Matt Paroz and Darren Chapman). Results. To add to the variety there was a 20 minute thunderstorm during the 2nd 800.
Just one day left of this great event. Should be a good contest between Matt Paroz and Darren, and if its windy again, there's still hope for Alan Peake and a few others.
Catch up with you Monday night.

I would like to extend a sincere congratulations to Matt P for his win in F Open, and Ernest Mace in F Std, well done to both of you. Of course I must also congratulate Darren C for his second spot in Open, it came down to the last range, as good competition should. It was worth the last minute loading Darren.
And my congratulations to all the competitors who were there.

Well i can say that i had a great time (despite equipment failure) during both the Queens and the RA Rolph. I met some good people and saw some very impressive shooting. It was my second ever F Class (Open) shoot and i will be back thats for sure. Thanks to all the competitors and organisers. Congratulations to Matt Paroz and also thanks to him for identifying what was going wrong with my gear. Now to apply for leave from work for next years event.....
Cheers
Matt
