my Barnard

#1 Postby Send-it » Sun May 10, 2015 7:27 am

Hi all,
finally moved up into the 'proper' equipment category, and have acquired myself a nice Barnard f class rig.
all the good bits, but with a bit of old school style and class about it (well,...in my opinion  ).
the stock is a one off, hand built by the former owner.
I used it for the 1st time yesterday, and shot a PB with a 58.4 & 58.4, so I was happy with those results. :D

It's 308, but I'll probably get another barrel at some stage and play in f open occasionally.
For now I'll continue in f standard and f tr when I get around to fitting a bipod rail.

Well after saving some coin, i splashed out and purchased a new McMillan f class stock, plus fittings.
had it together for about 3 shoots now and i'm more than happy with it.
It rides/tracks nice and level, compared to the wooden stock it wore prior, and it's nice watching the reticle return to its target straight after firing.
seems to be holding sub x ring elevation waterline now. :D

i think i'll just leave it black for now. 8)

Love this rifle. Love McMillan F-class stocks and it looks great in flat black. Thanks for the pics.
