A rifle I'm in the processes of setting up for the mrs. The twist is she is left eye dominant but wants to shoot right handed. The scope and rings will be replaced with proper items if this works out. I picked up the offset mounts from Cleaver's of all places, but they are quite solid and mount really well, so time will tell how they go. The interesting thing so far is with a 300m zero for windage is only 1/4 moa adjustment at 700 yrds. Which is nothing for a .223.

Yeh, the concept is to try and get it so it will be comfortable for the girl to start shooting f/tr this season. Personally I'd like to get the scope over a bit further so that she can get get her eyes parallel. It's very close to that now, but not quite, but she doesn't want me to touch it until she gets herself a decent scope for it. I've just put a rail under the bedded boyds stock for a bi-pod. It's still got the factory barrel on it for now until someone gets some barrels in for the 223's. Hint, hint. It's only 26" long but it's still throwing the 80.5 bergers around good enough for the mrs to learn with.

Very interesting. I seem to remember an article on 6mmbr.com of a winning shooter that was left eye dominant. I think he just leant over the stock a little differently. Type in Jeff Cochran 2005 on the sites search engine. I can't paste the link.

I've seen target rifles with the front and rear sight hanging out the side for the same reason
