I have had these bits in the cupboard for some time now, decided to assemble and put it to use.
Rifle is based on Hall Model B action. Made in 1981. Currently has the original Hart 308 barrel fitted in 1981 and fired 300rds since.
I have a couple of good used 6mm barrels that will be put to use.
Just need to finish stock and glue in action.

cam,
those hall actios had a very good reputation for fit, finish, fine tolerances and correctness.
a rifle to be proud of.
who did the bedding and inletting, and who will glue it?
what type of glue, and any info on prep before gluing?
keep safe,
bruce.

Bruce
I inletted and bedded the action with Devcon. I used pillars but I don't think this was necessary as the stock is super strong.
I glue in with high strength Araldite. A fine coating to the action and the bedding surfaces. Slowly tighten screws to let all air escape. Screws are only lightly tightened. I have the barrel removed when doing this so there is no stress on the action.
Prepare surfaces to be glued with a light going over with 400 grit. Then clean and clean with acetone. Good preparation is vital.
I have never had an action let go.
Alan, we have got his mind elsewhere
