Plenty of foxes out your way mate, 110gr vmax out of that beast will sort them nicely!

No I didn't use the 375 in a match but it would have been fun. I intended to buy a NF or Mark 4 scope for it but never got the chance before I sold it. I managed to shoot about 50 rounds. The scope on the rifle the pic is a super sniper 20x with 100moa in the turrets. I have a 408 cheytac being built that will look identical but I think that is sold too.

Now that I have a sightron siii I don't think I would get a NF for the next build, thesightron does everything I could ask for.

brad y,
nothing like overkill hey! haha!
considering im hoping to get 200gr projys out at around 3200fps i reckon those 110's would be heading up towards 3800!

my 243 pushing 80gr nosler ballistics at 3300 just about cuts foxes in half, imagine what the 110's would do! red fur and mist haha

might put a photo of her up. shes a magic rifle, an absolute dream to shoot.

heres my old Tikka chambered in .243, nothing special, no mods esides the bushnell scope and bipod, but a great rifle for feral control and general shooting duties.

i usually load with 80gr nosler ballistics, 45gr of 2209.

as far as factory rifles go, i prob wouldnt buy anything but another tikka after the way this one has performed!
happy shooting!

Yeh a few of my mates all run tikka t3's for spotlighting duties and they all work well enough. A 243 with 70gr noslers and 22-250 with 50gr vmax. I use an old model LSA55 tikka 20 practical for my dedicated foxing mainly so I can spot my hits. Also run a shortned 8 twist krieger f class barrel on my rem action in 223 and shoot 50gr noslers as a general spotlighting rig. Much better if I help out a mate who culls for pet food as the 204 pills dont do the business on big skippys. Have used the 308 with 110 vmax and its messy for sure.

brad y,
nice selection you have there mate. the 50gr out of that 22-250 would be fairly moving!
the 80gr noslers from the 243 do a pretty good job on those oversise rabbits to. i had a go with 180gr ballistics out of the RUM, dont think ill do that again... mess.
happy shooting!

Nice bit of gear, not being picky but can you slide a ten dollar note under the scope and barrel ?, Chop.

haha, i can just slide a pineapple or two in there, and what she does after is worth every cent.... just dont ask her to slide her bolt back, she gets a bit over excited and cant stop!

i have had a few people comment on how close the scope is but there is clearance and i havnt seen any scuff marks or anything to indicate it hits during firing, and the zero stays true, so i figure it can stay that way. plus it allows me to use the cheekpad so i can hold it pretty steady when im on the ute.

happy shooting!

just thought id give an update on the 300. i ran the barrel in last weekend and i can honestly say it s a dream to shoot!
the extra weight coupled with the muzzle brake brings the recoil back to slightly less than the 243.
also, it doesnt seem to have much lift in the recoil either, which is good.
the barrel soots up alot though. no copper fouling that i can see with the wet patches, and using brake cleaner or a similar solvent seems to clean most of it out with one pass of a bore mop. still need about five oiled patches before shes shiny again.

happy shooting
