My new XLR Stock

#1 Postby Seddo » Fri Dec 30, 2011 6:50 pm

Hi guys,

I picked up an XLR stock and Atlas bipod for my 284win last week. I am going to take it to Rosedale tomorrow (no shootign at Moe) with Norm and see what we can do at 700y. With the bag rider and atlas bipod it should pick up my scores a little as well.

Looks impressive Seddo. Would this stock be light enough for F/TR? (max weight including bipod 8.25Kg)

Alan,

Sure is. I stuck it on the bathroon scales and its under 7kg but as its not a digital scale i cant give you an exact weight. Youo cna get a handguard that is 2" shorter that would take a little weight out of it but you still have over 1kg to add to the barrel and it woudl still be under the limit.

Seddo,

Well done yesterday - that setup shows a lot of promise. In fact your second shoot was was right up there. I hope we see you at Rosedale more often, and you too Norm.

Seddo,

Darn fine looking rifle mate. Atlas bipods sure work dont they :)

Your rear bad would have to be small for that way of shooting? what are you using?

Alanf,
Thanks for that, i was very happy with my second run. Its hard to get to rosedale as my kids have swiming lessons on saturday morning but i will do my best to come up there more often, i had a great time and love your shade set up on the mount!!.

Quick,
That was at the 300y line when i was zeroing the rifle. I like to shoot low to the ground and if the bipod was up any higher i wouldnt have been comfortable. Back at 700y i used the bipod in the 90 degree position. I just made sure the rilfe was on the top of the mount. I use a rear bag i got from sinclairs but cant remember the name.
