Macintosh Precision FTR bipod

Did final testing of the FTR bipod this past weekend at 600 meters. Got Joe F and Gary F to test it and then shot a string myself. Pics below. The group is quite big but I shoot TR as my primary discipline so you will need to cut me some slack. I will try and see if I can link the videos to my website so that people can see how it recoils. I will be loaning it to Joe F so he can continue testing. Planning on going into production in the new year. Total weight including the Pic rail attachment is currently around 500 grams. There will be a option to knock down the weight by using titanium fasteners etc however this will be pricey as a single screw is around $10 and there are 27 fasteners.IMG_20231028_152553_MP.jpgIMG_20231028_154627_MP.jpg

So, the $xxx question. When are they available and what is the price?

Testing till January then production. Price still to be decided based on cost of carbon fiber, anodizing etc.

Just finished assembling the anodised bipod and did a final weigh in, 480 grams all up. Height adjusts from a minimum of 135 mm to a maximum of 245 mm so all up a total adjustment of 110 mm. Come's with pivoting feet and a pic rail clamp. All aluminium parts are 6061-T6 anodised with Delrin bushings on all pivot points. Thread is 316 SS rolled thread not hardware threaded rod, thread runs in a brass bush that can be replaced if you manage to wear it out. All fasteners are stainless steel. Carbon fibre is high modulus 3K twill weave.

Looking good, any progress on the production / cost front. Also a detail video of it being installed, adjusted from lowest to highest and ideally shot at each would be awesome!

Still testing. Shoots great with 155's experiencing some bounce with heavies and a heavy barrel.

When you say you're experiencing some "bounce" what exactly are you referring to? Are the legs flexing?
