Or you could just have a standalone sweepstake (or similar) event at the end of each day, which would be independent of the official results system. I say this mainly because, even though stats computers SHOULD be able to handle the complications, in reality they will probably struggle :D .

The sweepstake idea sounds easy.

A couple of prize meetings in south Qld have a fifteen shot sweepstakes the afternoon before the main shoot starts. The extra day shooting is great for those travelling a distance to compete and those that like to camp at the range. Goondiwindi had a shoot on the Friday before their two day OPM so shooters that traveled had the opportunity to shoot plenty of ranges.

A pipeopener or sweepstakes BEFORE the main shoot makes the most sense to me.

In the bad old days the paper target provided a STANDARD INTERFACE.

With the proliferation of different types of eTargets standardization has and is being lost.

It is only fair to shooters and scorers (who have well defined duties to manage the shooter's shoot properly in competition) that they be given some chance to familiarize themselves with the target system.

Which button changes scale.
How are sighters managed on this system ?
Which cuts sighters.
I think it is this one ?
Which wipes the lot ! OOps !

In fact, it could be a good thing for eTarget Makers to put a simulation program on the web to help shooters prepare.
It could also be good advertising.

Peter Smith.

I'd be in that (particularly if the barrel needed a few foulers :D ).
