Hi all
Just want to hear from people who are active members of a club that has merged with another club. Specifically if there has been any issues arise from the process or if it solved any issues with either club.

brad,
our club (ctv) is the result of a merger.
it is very successful.
the reason for this is that members of both former clubs managed to create a culture where the new club took priority over what went before.
this allowed the best of both clubs to merge into a new better one.
kind of like putting yourself second in a marriage makes for success.
i could mention another club which did the same thing, and there are still two camps within the umbrella organization.
a potential danger of merging is getting a false sense of not needing to hunt for new membership, due to having numbers again. this aspect of clubs must never be taken for granted.
keep safe,

Succinct put Bruce
The success of CTV is due to the leaders of each original club work out what all the good parts of each previous club were and these would be retained and merged them in to the one club.
It was there forethought that has made this club as successful as it is today.
