rear site advice

guys,i have an older gehmann D75 variable rear site thats as stiff as a board to turn.
any ideas on what to clean/lubricate it with ?

get some acetone and automatic transmission fluid, mix 50/50 and soak it. give it a couple of turns every couple of hours to clean the gunk out.

It might, give it a try on a spot you dont mind rubbing off. I think the atf sort of neutralizes the acetone a bit.
