#1 Postby Josh Cox » Wed Jan 15, 2014 12:36 pm

So, what is the general consensus, single point or two point sling and why ?.

When in doubt do what the top shooters do. I think you'll find most use a single point.

When the variability of mounds is taken into account, the single point is the one most easily tweaked to accommodate - and the tweaking usually involves minor repositioning the body. The two point anchors the shooter in to a geometric body conformity that might not accommodate to the mound without adjusting sling length. On the other hand, the two point is said to be better capable of accommodating to wind buffeting, but whether or not that's an advantage & not an impediment to consistency is a moot point.

I have only been shooting TR for about a year and a half and have been using a 2 point sling the whole time. I have had a lot of problems with it. I recently changed over to a Pulse free single point and so far so good, a huge improvement….. no doubt i'll crash and burn on Saturday for saying it though !! regards
