Below is an email I received about how to nominate as a volunteer.
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick reminder that GC2018 Volunteer applications close on Monday, 20 March.
Volunteering at GC2018 is a great way to develop your current sports skills and to genuinely be part of the biggest multi-sport event to take place in Australia in 10 years.
Don’t miss your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help shape our games.
Turn your sport interest into action and apply to join the volunteer team today.
Please ensure you nominate the sport(s) you are most proficient in, with 3 preferences, so they can maximise your skillset and experience.
---
Please note when filling out your application, there are some things you must do to ensure your application reaches the section for volunteers for Shooting.
· Volunteer Code - In the section that asks for aGC2018 Volunteer Code, please use the code SHO2018.
· Sport skills and knowledge – Make sure you type in “Shooting” for this section.
· Language Skills – Ensure you enter “Yes” for the question, Are you able to speak and read English? Again this is very important as if it is not answered with Yes, your application will not progress past the first stage
All candidates who are interested in being considered for a SSV role MUST register to be a volunteer by completing the GC2018 Volunteer Registration process and MUST use this code.
