My neighbour, who has just retired as Head of Sports Law at Melbourne Uni, a world authority, and a past Australian Legal Rep in the Olympic scene flicked me a link that maybe of interest. Seems the rest of the world is catching up to the NRAA with forward thinking and positioning of the sport. He said the ruling was last night.

Most think that it's about dumbing down the sport, to the extent that we'll soon see only air events in a games or two, with laser equipment on the horizon, in other words, nothing except shotgun that uses powder.

Not really sure with a sport like shooting why we need men's and women's event separate, usually the women are better than the men in most clubs I shoot at, why not just have mixed events and more categories? It would be nice to see FTR for example..
