I thought it may be interesting to share ‘first timer’ stories.
Yesterday we had a 16yr old who has only ever shot the occasional air rifle and rimfire get behind a club members (his Uncle) Std factory .223 and shoot a 95 then a 99 at 300m.
He had a great day and thanks to his uncle for bringing him up, although I did hear threats of walking home!
(No! I am not going to give out his contact details .. He’s OURS)

Think I can do one better. My 14 year old daughter who has seen a lot of many and varied firearms pass through our house ( For obvious reasons) finally asked if she could come to the range and see what I do.
Never having touched a firearm in her life, gave her a few simple range and firearm safety procedures and she proceeded to shoot 59 at 500 yards with a 5.56 Remington in fairly trying conditions. It also happened to be top score for the day.
A lot of people went home early that day....
