I appreciate the humour but.... the slogan will not be about shooting people (or animals) ! We are trying to promote F-Class target (paper) shooting, not tactical and varmint  ! So keep it politically correct thank you! BTW, if we get say 5 suitable ones, we'll run a poll to pick the w...

WA Queens

We seem to have overlooked the WA Queens. Results are at http://www.wara.asn.au/queens/2005/fclass.html . Congratulations to Bill Hallam in the leadup (Duke of Edinburgh) and Anthony Hall, who pipped Bill in the Queens (no mean feat). =D> What happened to you this year Mark? (Hammersley). After almo...

T-Shirts

I'm wondering if there is any interest in a ozfclass.com T-shirt. It might be a good way of getting more participation on this website. Perhaps it could have the ozfclass logo on the front and a slogan (suggestions  welcome) promoting F-Class on the back?

Still Not Getting Anywhere

It seems all 800 aiming marks are originating from NSWRA, but my E-mail got no response, and the web ordering facility is broken, so does anyone have a reliable E-mail address (other than info@nswra.org.au)? I believe the store manager is a Peter Eisler.

Thanks for any assistance.

Yes Matt, well done \:D/. I notice you were trailing going into the last range and made up 12 points - there must be a story behind that? Regarding equipment, did you happen to notice what Dennis Shallis and Michael Brown were using? Actually I'm interested mainly in what calibres everyone was using...

Re: ring height for new scope?

...What height rings do I need, medium or high 30mm rings ... sss, Obviously, no-one can be sure without more information e.g. height and slope of scope "rail", barrel profile, length of lens shade etc. So if possible you should either get the rings on the understanding you can return them if the w...

Queens Day 2 results are on http://www.nswra.org.au/results/2005queens.html . Looks like you were right about the ugly weather Matt - when James Corbett gets a 45.1 things must be tough  . Progessive scores of F-Class leaders are : F-Std John Hammond 334, Tom Lowndes 333. Ernie Mace 329 F-Ope...

Now they're cooking with gas. Thursday's results must have gone up same day. Close finishes in the McIntosh in both F-Std and F-Open. Noel Lewis pipped Tom Lowndes and Stephen Rigby pipped Peter Hayden. And by the look of the scores on Thursday, challenging weather  ! Congrats to all =D> Alan

Jeff,

With SMKs, if you get for example a long base to ogive, does this normally correspond to a long boat-tail, or a long bearing surface, or a bit of both?

Michael, I agree that bearing surface variation is worth trying to keep to a minimum, but more as way of getting consistent BC than distance to the lands. Because bullet seaters work on some part of the ogive, not the base of the bullet. So for distance to the lands, the consistent dimension needs t...
