Try Craig on 0412 939 754. I hope he does't mind me giving out his number as he is a good man to deal with.

Jim Andrews is 100 and still a Club Member
Jim Andrews, a Goulburn Rifle Club Life Member is celebrating his 100th Birthday with a little get together at the Soldiers club. Until recently, Jim could be seen at the local shops proudly wearing his NSW State Rifle Team "baggy blue". Happy Birthday Jim, from the members of the Goulburn...

I got a Wilson Case Trimmer, a boxed set of 4 DVD's on the history of snipers, and best of all, a Tomato Sauce Dispenser in the form of a snub nose revolver, pull the trigger and out squirts the sauce, love it.

Re: F-class is an advanced discipline. $ stops new shooters
Another variation on this theme is to: 1. Welcome new interested persons provided they have firearms licence, and their kit can hit the "black". We always encourage interested people to attend when we are shooting 300 to 600 yards. We have 2 club rifles as well. 2. If their kit is .223, or...

Re: Barnard Bolt
Hi Peter, been doing just this for some years now. A .223 bolt BODY, and a 308 Bolt BODY with a single firing pin assembly. Seems to work great with no lapping. Like it so much have ordered another 308 bolt body with a Ejector. I shoot .223 at the Club on Saturdays, and change out to 6 Dasher / .284...

Re: Large Rifle Cases
I have a "Starlight" hard case and it is 52 inch max inside. Having an adjustable "in-out" butt plate helps as you can "shorten" the rifle an inch overall for transport.

Re: 6.5mm Magnums for F Class
Don't waste your time and money. Over a decade ago, the 1000yd benchrest guys in Canberra tried both 6mm and 6.5mm magnums and all they got was burnt out barrels, vertical stringing and bullet blowups.

Re: Welcome or not
I have observed "bullet blow up" on three occasions. One was super hot overbore 6.5mm called a Banshee. What was observed was a blue/grey streak for about 50 to 100 feet from the muzzel terminating in a "poof" of grey "smoke". Saw same with a very hot .223 and a fast tw...

Re: Canberra Newbie - Looking to Learn
A couple of tips. 1) Joining SSAA as a "gold member" gives you $25000 insurance cover for your rifles. You cannot beat that. 2) Seek advice from Club Members before you buy a factory rifle from a gunshop. This is particularly with respect to Barrel Twist. We shoot heavy for calibre bullets...

Re: Hydro Dipping Gustocks
There is a visible join. In my case through the barrel channel and along the top edge of the butt. However, the guy who did the job is a craftsman, he sprayed a nice black narrow contrasting strip over the join before he applied the clear coat. Looks really good. Having said that, I did look at some...

I am "minding" one that belongs to another shooter. After an initial tryout, I went back to beam scales and use a magnifying glass to assist my vision on the beam scale.
