Re: .308 Headspace

John, I to have been troubled by this conflict of measurement. The first thing I will ask you, saying that you measured with a Stoney point device,is the thing actually 0.400"?,mine isn't and I get measurements more like 1.617"to 1.618"" depending on the barrel. The new Lapua blue b...

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

No company is going to admit fault on this scale. There is a dodgy batch end of story and it has been identified and we all move on what is the issue here? Chris Chris, He said, you said, they said, she said, this is not evidence, get some solid facts and start at the retailers, demand a replacement of f...

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

Chris So are you suggesting that this particular batch of cci primers had no yellow compound within the primer itself... if so could you please post a photo of this, better yet one that has been struck with no compound.. This could be a way of getting your situation/findings to the right people.. C...

Re: Use of a signature block

Alan, Have noticed of late that a fair few members here dont have a signature block or dont actually sign there comments. It is quite fustrating sometimes not knowing the actual name of the posters and peoples nick names / user names make it difficult to determine the individual. Would you consider...

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

The whole thing about new reloaded cases needing to be jammed into the lands for the first firing to stop misfires is concerning to me,if there was any validity to this idea, factory rounds would be giving a fair percentage of misfires,as far as I have seen, this is not the case.
What is going on?

Re: Several primers not showing much pin strike

Phil,
The way I read your post, you have small indentations on the fired primers, just to make sure of the situation, did the rounds fire?,or did they misfire.? I have plenty of CCI-200 and Br-2's if you would like to try some different ones.

Re: CCI Primers

Being having troubles with the 280 Ai and cci's . But I believe it's more a reloading issue ( being my fault , not the primer's ) . Definitely work better than the Fed 210's with beautiful waterline! I was watching one of your video's shooting and you had some misfires,in my opinion you were rather...

Re: F-Class World Championships 2017

I went with 3 lots of 31.9kgs check in, then about 20+kg of carry on. Those of us here still had to buy a lot of bits and pieces once we arrived and will have to refill sandbags etc today. That is unfortunately what I thought....   Even on my platinum Status I only get 60kg allow...

Re: Dry firing- does it damage anything?

I have snap caps, cannot remember the brand name, they are blue plastic in colour with a spring loaded primer, they work well, haven't dented yet,you can see a faint mark where the firing pin tip hits. I try and use them when doing the bolt cycle test,at times I will fire a number of dry shots when sett...
