Re: Warracknabeal Rifle Club Prize Meeting

With the definition of a close contact being "face to face contact for more then 15 minuets", there must also be a reasonable argument for a maximum of 10 shot strings especially to limit contact between the two scorers? James With one scorer sitting 1.5m behind the shooters feet and the ...

Re: Warracknabeal Rifle Club Prize Meeting

Dont forget that these covid rules are going tobe around for quite some time so how many can you have on the mound at any one time some shooters take up 2mtrs on their own So when you look at that would be a 7 mtr spread for how ever long it takes Even shooting string fire we have shooters laying d...

Re: Warracknabeal Rifle Club Prize Meeting

My thoughts are different to others. How about making it 20 shots Bisley style, pairs firing. That way you aren't burning out barrels as much. The scoring would be done by the other shooter you are paired with. If classes were squadded together, you would all be shooting together in the same conditi...

Re: The first Queen’s shoot post kungflu

https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/government-actions/roadmap-to-easing-queenslands-restrictions Based on the QLD roadmap, perhaps the QRA Queens might happen (14-16AUG). QLD opens up to groups of 100 on 10JUL20, the borders are likely to still be closed, keeping those filthy Southerners with their inb...

Nah, I just miss shootin.
I don't care who else is there, I'm just going to either be walking around sniffing gunpowder fumes with a big silly grin, or looking through a scope of some sort with a bigger silly grin.

Re: Bored ! 300 rum 230 gr loads please ?

Rod The Hornady ATips claim BC which I did not believe however were right on at 1650M according to my program. They were a full 2 1/2 moa higher than the 230 H Berger that day at slightly lower Vo than the Berger too! I have never been been a fan of Hornady match pills but these A Tips are very con...

What are you using this one on? I had one years ago on a 7mm Rem Mag hunting rifle which made a massive difference.

It also thinks that even the most mild Ftr loads are going to kill you #-o A few people send me their loads to run over my quickload and I have to agree. Many people are surprised at the pressures that quickload is saying they are running. Even accounting for the slightly reduced pressures with sma...

Remember Sierra 230gn Matchkings have even higher BC than the Bergers so are something to consider for long range fun.

Re: ES / SD reduction strategies

From what Ive seen, powder type and powder weight make a big difference. Quite often I have seen better ES/SD with powders on the slightly faster burning side for your combination despite the case only being 85% full which goes against the old adage of always trying for 100% case fill, or close to i...
