Re: FCWC 2021

I am sure all the Australian F Class community would have loved to host the 2021 World Championship. Belmont is more than capable of hosting it. And it is well past our turn to do so plus having 2 back to back FO Championships as well as Silver for F/TR and Rod winning FO. 3 Australians in top 10 fo...

Re: Australia vs New Zealand F-Open Teams Match

Is 70.8Km/hr fast? How much do you need on your turret to get into the X ring? [A LOT] You should try leaning into the wind, and see what angle you get to before you fall over. Maybe a good day to throw the frisbee, or maybe a boomarang. I've never heard of shooting being called off due to too much...

Re: One mile + rifle

Mick Where do you think a mile event may be held in Australia? The couple of events I have seen this year don't fit either they have no energy limit but limited to 1000 yards Or they have distance but an energy limit which kicks out any competitive one mile cartridge. My 300 Norma should be very com...

Re: One mile + rifle

300 Norma - just starting work on one and found a spot yesterday within reasonable distance where I can try 1800 yards.
Bryan Litz talked me into this cartridge 2 years ago and it has taken quite a time to achieve.

Re: Looking for feedback

Good idea Albert, I expect these type of shoots to become popular with time. Next Feb Berger SWN sold out 400 slots with internet registration in 10.5 hours upon release in September? Hopefully we can have similar even numbers enter and allow easy planning prior to event. Late entries would be most ...

Re: Looking for feedback

Jase The yanks usually run 4 shooters to a target on 2 relays of 2 shooters. You are positioned according to your grade first day and subsequent days by results. This is for string fire but Bisley negates that criteria. FO will have 2 shooters in a relay and F/TR x 2 in second relay or vice versa? T...

Re: Looking for feedback

Agree with most feedback here so far especially Tim; Alan and Rod! Keep it long range Make the 20 shot matches Bisley - actually I would prefer it all Bisley Keep it to a separate 2 day match - as Rod said and it is easier for me to make a 2 day match than a full week plus travel! The one proviso no...

Re: Qld Labour intends to impose Ammo limits

It is an "agreement in principle" and not binding for any state to enact the NFA!
The name itself is a complete misnomer as it is really the bastard child of all the state WLB wish lists! By giving it such a grandiose name they make it sound like it has a national blessing!

Re: Lithgow Arms LA102 action/trigger

Just a quick update. Thanks to ShaneG I have now developed a promising load for the 200.20x Bergers. 5 shot group at 200yards off the bench at SSAA Belmont. Re: Another newbie

Your T3 1/8 twist will work out to 600 yards OK. It won't win Queens but you can dip your toe in the game and have fun! I just tested a T3 Varmint this afternoon at 200 yards with my usual rabbit load and had a 3 shot .25 moa group. You don't have to rebarrel it and with 223 you don't need to add we...

Re: US F-Class Nationals

They shot on them last year at Lodi with little preparation. I believe they had their issues.
Next year and 2019 they are back at Raton on manual targets and I will do my best to attend again as SOA will be contested immediately prior Bisley style.

Extended Ranges and energy limits

Are there any ranges available without energy limits and preferably beyond 1000 yards? These energy limits seem to serve no purpose except to constrict us further. Once applied they can be be lowered by range inspectors further. I note that the match at Coonabarabran in October has a limit of 5675 j...
