Re: Max peak elevation of trajectory?

The first question I had was at what distance?

And most importantly 30 Meters or 30 minutes?

1moa at 900m is roughly 260mm I think, so we are talking very different scenarios.

Re: What Precision or Tactical Rifle setup do you use

Best to decide whether you want to shoot NATO or Open, there are going to be restrictions on equipment for NATO ie no single point slings, 1kg trigger weight etc, with Open it is literally that.

Re: 6 mm Dasher

Hi mate, read this.

http://www.bergerbullets.com/getting-th ... our-rifle/

My BR is loving .060 jump with the 105 Berger VLD, My .284 likes .090 jump with the VLD 180.

Re: Which gas?

Hi mate,
I got my machinist mate to knock me up an adaptor to go from my primus torch to an unregulated line from my 9kg LPG bottle.

That's what I use with my annealer, and it works fine. I think that mapp gas would be too hot, I achieve annealing easily with LPG.

Cheers.

Overcooked brass not a problem with a food dehydrator

Hi All, I purchased a stainless steel tumbler earlier this year and have been very happy with the results, but the tumbler uses wet media and I have always been cautious of getting my cases wet, like using an ultrasonic, you have to be so careful to dry your brass. I used to use the oven, I would st...

F-Open in the Tiverton Cup

G'day all, Committee met last night, I missed the meeting but had the issue raised about F-Open in the Tiverton, no drama's, not sure whether we will be able to do anything regarding prizes, but we will see what numbers we get on the day. In short, let's see if we can organise some teams! Would be g...

ACT Queens

I'll be there (I'd be in trouble if I didn't turn up! Vice Captain and in charge of range moves, so shooting and BUSY), I spoke to Hans Hoitink yesterday who will be shooting either the Lead Up or the Queens, not both. We've had some beaut rain over the last few weeks, the range hasn't looked this g...

F-Open at Caberra Queens 2009

All I can say is "baby steps". I'm hoping that Canberra hasn't bitten off more than it can chew in going to the Super-V target for Open, because I was the one who proposed it to the Committee. I don't feel like being hung, drawn and quartered. I reckon that with the Super V, which is pretty small, a...

Potential use of Super V target for ACT Qns - F - Open

What are peoples thoughts about using the Fullbore target with a Super-V for the Queens in Canberra this year?

For and against, lets have a vote.

Cheers.

Tuners

G'day Matt, When I first fitted my tuner, I wound it "all the way on" (it has a 40mm threaded fitting loctited onto the barrel) so that the back of the tuner was level with the back of the fitting on the barrel, then I put a target at 300m, fired a group, wound out one full revolution, and repeated,...
