Re: jongmans rifles

Matt is correct. I have seen 2 with shed lugs. I cut the front off the bolt of one of theses & installed an Omark bolt head. As far as I know it is still in service. There are better action choices out there.

Re: Barnard V block dimensions

I haven't had a look at the block vs the receiver screw hole locations but does the grade of ally make any difference here ? I'm guessing Barnard and most others use 6061 T6 ? Or maybe 6061 T6511 which gives a stronger harder ally than the T6 tempering process and machines better too. Or even 7075 ...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Just to wrap this up , thank you everyone for your good thoughts and discussions! Some really good input . Hopefully someone is listening and small changes in rules that aids growth and keeps everyone happy . Myself , I believe a production feeder class that has been put up on a thread before by Mr...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

As an avid prs shooter and occasional f class shooter I would like to throw my 2 cents in. I think a few points have gone astray in this conversation. And I will try to add some prospective as someone who is currently organising prs matches and trying to integrate with our local NRA range. Firstly ...

Re: Wanted - Omark / Nielsen 600 firing pin spring.

Yes 700 trigger fits . Dependant on the year the bolts cocking piece may have to be modified . If it is square it has to be filed down to match the 700’s angled one . Very easy conversion. I have a Remington 3 lever 2oz trigger in my Omark 6br David Mickel as the Nielsen is a "refined" Om...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Then it would NOT be another discipline would it..... So your welcoming attitude Keith, is kind of a meaningless statement. Though I am sure your smile alone, is worth more than the price of admission! Thankfully we have some positives returning to this thread! Pete I have already addressed the &qu...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Keith, I'd just like to add, evolving doesn't mean we have to tear apart our sport, it just means we need to find a way to be more inclusive. One would think the older generation would strive for this, not the younger. I think your approach to the idea of evolution is wrong. So what context would b...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Keith, wrong place for the overall discussion clearly, I will try again elsewhere as I think the overall point of what I have been saying is getting missed. I am not saying we should change our competitions, I am saying we need to adjust rulings that refuse braked rifles on our ranges, and find oth...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Wal, at the inaugural championship shoot they had 150 turn up, the max they could cater for. Keith, you keep saying F-Class shooters need to evolve, I don’t see why they would need to. They don’t need to do anything accept allow another group of shooters to use their range. Where are they you ask? ...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

It's quite funny isn't it.. PRS people would like to shoot alongside (not with) F-Class shooters but using PRS style rifles with perhaps a slightly altered course of fire, but not typical PRS, just long range. This would bolster our dwindling membership and expand use of our ranges. F-Class shooter...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Oh, and another amongst the "death by 1000 cuts" onslaught, shooting will not be at the 2022 Com Games, and, its being held in probably the strongest TR/Shotgun country in the world, that's evolution though right :( You seem to have missed my opening statement, I am not against PRS, in fa...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

I have read all the posts & I personally have no issues with PRS, my question is a simple one, why do we have to evolve???? Perhaps PRS needs to "evolve"???? Please do NOT tell me I have to accept a muzzle braked rifle shooting in the lane next to me without baffleing!!!! Not going to ...

Re: 6x47

Rubbish, mine has done over 2000 and is still winning matches. I think its really a bit more complicated than that as I have noticed no loss of accuracy... (the throat has worn about 90 thou and the 108s are jumping, same load as 1 yr ago) One example does not set the standard!! Any 6mm is quite ha...
