Is there any reason why I can't shoot a tikka with the ejector plunger removed so that it does not throw the brass on extraction.
Thanks

No absolutely no reason at all.

Re: Looking for feedback

Think I like Alan's second answer the best. If it is the answer you want than it is the better one!!!! Just because an individual hasn't seen it does not mean that the technical facts are wrong. One can believe what one wants but it does not change the facts, does it matter? That is up to the indiv...

Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

I totally agree, Wall, so it really pisses me that except with brass neck turned to tight neck chambers, they give straighter brass than anything I've tried & less runout. You can all say what you like, but they just flat out work! I agree Lee make a lot of cheap stuff but this die isn't one of...

Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

I would think that (the 95+%" they would be better served to train for Australia??????? Keith, If Bisley style takes off here, they may well be training for Australia  . It hasn't happened yet & I would lay odds that it won't, except for isolated matches such as this one. The main re...

Re: Lee Collet Neck Die

Scot & Wal86, I don't know what the problem is that you guys are having, but I and many others on this forum have been using Lee Collet dies for years. I use them in multiple calibers & will not use any other neck die for the calibers that they are available for, they are far better than str...

Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

This is Australia not Bisley or Canada or anywhere international. ......South Africa is less than 4 years away. Bisley practise will give the current F Class Open World Champion and others more experience prior to competing in SA in 2021. That is one reason, however a key driver for me is the impor...

Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

As a TR shooter I'm keen! Enjoy bisley style shooting, not enough of it shot I think! Good answer Rod, but I will agree to disagree with you. Australians tend to willingly give up their identity in lots of areas & I would prefer to see the first F-Class Association match follow an Australian fo...

Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

So im reading it as there will be individual string or bisley style? When does the decision get made? From what I’ve heard with the interest shown so far it is most likely it will now all be Bisley style. For the life of me I do not understand why!!! This is Australia not Bisley or Canada or anywhe...

Re: NSW F-Class Association Match

• Match will cater for Bisley Pairs and individual shooters as well. Dennis, won't this dilute the numbers in the Bisley competition? I'm keen on the shoot if it is Bisley Pairs. If it was simply a long range shoot over 2 days, then I'd probably just stay in my home state as it is an 8 hour trip ea...

This is the result of incorrectly set up dies, not the result of sizing alone. Any tool is only as good as the user.

Re: Volume sorting cases?

If you're really into more self abuse, try doing a volume check with a nice fine ball powder. It has a number of advantages over water: Your cases don't get wet. It's cleaner & handier to use. Volumetric changes are less discernible so you'll worry less Best of luck [-o< I am with John on this ...

Re: NECK SIZING

One possible factor that can make nice fitting cases vary in feel when feeding them loaded into a rifle is the depth of a primer insertion. If you are running very neat fitting cases, just a minute difference in primer insertion can make a big difference to feel when shooting. This can be checked b...
