You need to be aware that the headspace dimensions are not the same with these chamberings.

Re: brownells aust

glad it is just not me. sad such a golden opportunity for the seller and buyers is being destroyed with such skill. would it be worth letting brownells usa know what is really happening this end. it is ultimately their bottom line that is suffering. keep safe, bruce. I have dealt with Brownells for...

Simple answers, membership numbers & the SSAA is ran in a businesslike manner.

Re: WTB Sako A1

Hey Keith At the risk of being persistent I was thinking of the kiss system on 222 brass Run the 204 reamer in to 222 length as you did for the 223 Maybe there will be nothing much between them I was wanting a 20 cal to run through a short sako A1 action? Hope that explains it better Tim you are no...

Re: WTB Sako A1

So you prefer the 223 brass to 222? I said I was a fan of the "kiss" system........the 20/222 is a fine cartridge as is the 20VT........but they require reamers to be made for them & dies for either will not be as simple as for the 20HI, hence my reference to the "kiss" syst...

Re: WTB Sako A1

Hi Keith One thought I had was a 204 reamer run in to 222 case length, use quality Lapua cases and suit the action length? We discussed this on another forum and was told the rear of the chamber would need to be opened up a little bit to allow for the case to extract? Thinking was the shortened 204...

Re: WTB Sako A1

Keith what is a 20HI? Is it similar to a 20 Practical? I had dreams of building a fast twist 222 Rem Mag for 53gr Vmax pills on one of mine, but the action is just a wee bit short. The 20HI chamber is cut with a 204 reamer run in to 223 case length. Dies are 204 dies shortened to 223 length, it wor...

Re: WTB Sako A1

L461/A1 ideal 20 cal for this action is 20HI based on the 223 case. This action along with the Sako 85 is a bit short for the std 204, it will work, but not ideal. The 20VT as Alwyn has found, is also suitable, but the 20HI is a simpler conversion insofar as dies & brass are concerned & more...

Looking forward to this shoot as it has been a while since I have attended. Fingers crossed for good weather. Just have to do some final tuning on my 6x47 and hopefully it will hammer with the old 115 Dtacs Be good to see a 6mm win the queens :D I'll most likely throw a big 7 in for back up. Calibe...

Re: Question for the Omark experts

I will politely agree to disagree, if the metal became molten and was poured it would have flowed, yes brass and other metal are malleable, however pressure forming a metal is more appropriately labeled stretching when it’s forced into a cavity mould. Anyhow I don’t have any “flow” into the ejector...

Re: Given Current Component Availability...

Gentlemen - thanks for all the advice. I've got multiple options here I can have a think about! To those of you suggesting a 308 or 30 of some description - what about a 30-06 improved? The long neck would allow a fairly wide range of projectiles to be used and still be out of the donut area. Using...

Re: Ladder test- what went wrong?

I think that's a real dooooozie of a barrel Tim. What's happening is that with the same powder charge, it'd be spraying shots everywhere, but by increasing the charge in your ladder test, you've compensated perfectly for it's short comings. I'd send it back and insist on a refund. Bahahahaha. As a ...
