Re: Trigger clean

CLP is a oil/cleaner. CLP stands for cleans lubricates and protects. It's a good oil and use it in my guns. The extractors & ejectors are interchangeable between Omark & Angel actions. No other parts are interchangeable that I am aware of.

Re: WTB extractor for Musgrave action.

Hi Rod. Extractors between a mauser 98 bolt and the musgrave are all but the same We have two musgraves. One is the same, one has a more tapered end. I would think it would take maybe a little grinding to adjust at the most. Cheers Adrian 20180630_141332.jpg 20180630_141418.jpg Great, thanks for th...

Re: Carbon cleaning methods curious after borescoping club barrels

Barrel cleaning is one of the most misunderstood areas in any form of shooting in my opinion. The amount of ruined barrels that have crossed my bench in 40 years of gunsmithing that have been ruined by neglect would stagger you!!!! Over the years I have used many barrel solvents & oils, most of ...

Re: hey blokes

I think you would more failures with rem 700 action more than Omark’s from what I have told of around the ranges . I have included sample of small cross which is not promited on ranges and one of large pin which displayed in bolt assembly Totally incorrect!!!!! Remington 700 actions love em or hate...

Re: hey blokes

I have seen the photo of one of the guys face. its a nasty mess. The bolt failure was real. So have I, if the bolt head retaining pin is left out, the bolt will come back. This happened on my home range several years ago. The bolt ended up 15 yards behind the rifle narrowly missing 2 people behind ...

Re: New F Open Rifle

I am setting up a 300wsm for 230 berger OTMs as this is pretty much the energy limit in NSW F open. I expect to get around 2800 fps tops and i hope that will be enough.... Its a 9 twist bartlein HV barrel. ...yes i see what you mean about the prs, its based on the case on the left. My 300wsm230berg...

Re: New F Open Rifle

300 "shobby" is something John shobbrook and Jerome came up with. It's a 375 ruger with the shoulder pushed back and blown out so you end up with more neck length than a WM or Dakota and still plenty of capacity to push 230s. Ticks a lot of boxes :-) I like the 300 skadi which is the 300 ...

Re: hey blokes

I have been smithing Omark/Sportco rifles for the best part of 40 years. I have not found them to be any more prone to "miss-adventures" than any other action. The only "problems" I am aware of was with the old style bolthead retaining pin which broke often. I know of at least on...

Gsells, I think you need to re read my post, and im not sure you understand barrel harmonics as well as you preach... One must think why you need to dampen/shift/alter the harmonics with orings to begin with..... Just a thought cheers I cant see anything wrong with this post, i call a spade a spade...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

I’ll go back to my original thought . Waste of time , don’t bother . I’ve commented a lot more than I should have ! As per usual  . Regards Graham. Crikey Graham !!! Wal just suggests perhaps the gun has mechanical/setup prahblems. Mechanical problems are actual measureable tangible problems. ...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

I used a muzzle weight - well forward - on two 284s. They shot extremely well. The way the weights were attached actually squeezed the bore slightly at the muzzle which may also be beneficial. I believe they did improve accuracy and also improved the recoil characteristics of the rifles. They could...

Re: Wichester M17

Also who knows the take down screw threads Thanks Chop I think 30 TPI same as Winchester M70. No idea as to why the tang screw is angled, but all pattern 14 & 17 Enfields have this feature. I have successfully re tapped the takedown screw threads to 28 TPI, it can be hard going though. A bit of...
