Volume sorting cases?

G'day All, I'm interested to learn a little more about volume sorting brass and have a few questions: 1. Who in this forum does it and are the results notable enough to make it a primary step in your reloading process. 2. Can you describe how you do it, do you throw cases out or just shoot lightest ...

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

With both experiences that I've mentioned, thinking back on them, I believe that the first symptom was impatience, anxiousness and frustration. Anxious to get home, frustrated and impatient with any level of traffic. In the future, when I hit that stage, I'll be pulling off the road for a powernap i...

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

Thanks Rod. The 15 y.o 4WD keeping you engaged V's modern cars is a good point and interesting topic. I wonder what the legalities or liabilities are if someone was travelling with firearms, had an accident and was carted off in an ambulance unconscious while the firearms were unkowingly left with t...

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

I went to the doc today and amongst other things I had a blood sugar test, blood pressure test and ECG. Everything has checked out well. Some further blood tests are being done but just out of precaution. The Doc is pretty confident that it was fatigue. I've been speaking about this to a few people ...

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

Thanks for your experience Rob. I knew that the power nap is supposed to be a good option. I didn't want to become familiar with sleeping in the car and the stop, revive, survive moto was on my mind. Well that barely worked so if I feel it again, I'll have stop for a nap in the back. An ex military ...

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

Will do Frans. I had my annual check up only a couple of months ago and everything was great. I agree though, worth another visit.

Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

G'day All, I've had a couple of very scary experiences lately that I never thought would happen to me as I'm a very confident and careful driver. I've driven long distance my whole life and never had anything like this happen before. I've spoken to a couple of people who to my surprise have also had...

Re: 6 mm Dasher

I've never found "on the lands" a very good place to be for accuracy with all of the cals and cartridges Ive loaded for.

105 VLD's always were happiest .015" jammed when I use to shoot them. I'd be looking at seating depth first if you haven't already.

Re: WHICH MOUNTS

Are you looking at getting low, medium or high mounts? If your planning on free recoiling to any degree, depending on stock design, having higher mounts gives you more clearance to keep your cheek off the stock. There are a lot of shooters now with adjustable cheek pieces who have removed them. If y...
