Re: Can we shoot ssaa disciplines on an nraa range

I was told recently at our club that in the event of an accident, shooting anything outside of a NRAA discipline would void insurance.

I wont go into it any further but to say that I am sceptical. I'm not in a position to know the facts though.

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

600 and 1000y International BR are NRAA disciplines which specifically allow muzzle brakes in Light Gun. So if muzzle brakes are allowed on NRAA ranges for one NRAA discipline why can the rules not be adjusted to suit others and allow membership growth.

Just asking Graham. The Savage gods know their loyal disciple hasn't finished spreading the good word.

Geoff

While its an extrnal sensor system, that can surely never be a legitinate comparison given the doppler effect in wind? Maybe when we start shooting Queens in doors.

Re: canting reticle to allow for spin drift

Seeing as it's not an exact science because of all the other variables, wrongly or rightly, I just trusted my ballistics app after feeding in all the right info. As previously said, after a few shoots I could see I needed to go an extra click over what I have written in the photo.

Re: canting reticle to allow for spin drift

Keith I don't have as much experience as you but having been dialling in spin drift for the last 12 months of 6 years shooting, I can say without doubt that the effect of NOT dialling in spin drift can easily be seen in complete direction changes which happens regularly. The spin drift adjustment ca...

Which D/P action is best?

Hi All, Interested to hear some experience from shooters and gunsmiths. In considering the prospect of a future dual port build, what are the comparisons between a Stolle Panda, Borden BRMXD and BAT 3LL. Which is the better action and why? Do any have wear issues more significant than another when t...

Re: canting reticle to allow for spin drift

I use an App called Ballistic to get me started. Its close enough and then experience fine tunes it. 0.875 moa at 1000y in the case of the above .308 (1 extra click over what's written) equals 8.75" x 2.54cm = 22.54 cm. So yours sounds about right. Your close enough that you couldn't read that ...

Re: canting reticle to allow for spin drift

I asked the forum about dialling for spin drift a little while ago. The canted scope idea was suggested but fairly quickly shot down. Your right in that dialling wind will cause elevation but its in your favour with a correctly canted scope. If you dial left for a left wind that should theoretically...

I've never thought ES or SD was important.. I reckon its all BS Hahahaha, Them's fight'n words!  Not on their own, but in conjunction with group size and shape they are. The only time I've seen a justifiable disregard for them is in short range BR. That's a bold statement to make in a lo...
