Re: .308 F standard 155gr Projectile Selection

I've found the Hybrids are very inconsistent in performance between batch numbers. The 155.5 FB are brilliant between batch numbers.

Re: WTB F-Open stock

What about going straight to Ken Noye for a laminated blank. They’re excellent stocks. Very light to allow more barrel.

Re: New Barrel

Of the last 8ish barrels that I've run in, they've all stopped copper fouling at different round counts in the process. Some have not copper fouled from the beginning, most have to some degree and some have been terrible at the start. The common thing is that they've all started shooting really clea...

Re: Wet Moly

I became a fan of wet moly in a 300wsm that fixed a carbon fouling 300wsm run at a low node. I then thought I'd use it when I entered FSTD. I didn't like it in a .308 because it reduced MV so much, I had to almost run a compressed load to achieve my 2950 fps node. Being close to a compressed load, i...

Re: Bag/Case for 50” Savage 12 F/TR?

Hi Darrward, I've been using these ABS injection moulded Buffalo River hard gun cases. The double fits the Savages no worries. They're cheap too. They're not the greatest quality, But they've served me well on weekly basis for 9 years now. https://buffaloriversafes.com/collections/hard-gun-cases/pro...

Mine is a 7-300WSM

I realise its a 7, but I think the short fat case design is great like a oversized BR. Doesn't seem to hurt the SAUM over those dodgy 280ai's either hey GS :P

Oh and the WSM handles pressure super well

Re: Ladder test- what went wrong?

I think that's a real dooooozie of a barrel Tim. What's happening is that with the same powder charge, it'd be spraying shots everywhere, but by increasing the charge in your ladder test, you've compensated perfectly for it's short comings. I'd send it back and insist on a refund. Bahahahaha. As a s...

Re: QRA Queens

Haha, in FSA, 1st, 2nd and 3rd were 11,12 and 13 points dropped respectively in both the National Queens and the QRA. With very similar X counts too. Fun fact. Bearing in mind Nationals was a 9 match comp, one being a 15 shotter. Special mention of Tony Berry's 1st day back after a couple of years o...

Re: Nraa queens

Thanks guys. It was a very fortunate Queens for me in many ways. John S had a scope fail early which put him out of his usual competitive nature and I was lucky enough to get benign conditions, with a Squadding misalignment, as the last shooter at the 15 shot 900. That put enough points in the bank ...

Re: Nraa queens

Congrats to Azzo, Frans and Marty D in FSB. It was a great week with mates. Lots of great results. Amazing to see the standard in FOpen and awesome to see Craig Mc get his eye back in after a break. So good to have some of the boys back having a ball after recovering from the commitment of the FCWC.

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

In 2015 when Mark F came over here to shoot at Trentham I was very lucky to be making for him on the score card and sat right beside him with my spotting scope through the main shoot. Obviously I watched every shot. I was shooting FTR then but was soon enough to see how far ahead of anyone here tha...
