Re: Shooting in Commonwealth Games

That would be right, have a problem with one brand of ET in India and lump all brands in the same box.

Re: ATR magazine name change

Unfortunately Barry, I think it will take many years before F Class is considered equal to TR, and in the meantime F Class will be there just to make up the numbers.

Re: ATR magazine name change

Lone rider, I don’t believe cost is the issue. You don’t have to spend thousands to have a suitable rifle etc.

Other sports are expensive ie fishing, waterskiing, motorcross, clay targets etc an yet plenty of people participate in them.

Re: Leasing a range

Barry, I would say $50 per member per year is unreasonable, that could be as little as $1 a week, way to little to cover expenses

Re: Leasing a range

Bruce, the Rifle Club owns the range and have leased part of it to SSAA for over 20 years. The last 5 years have been at $500 per annum, the last couple of years due to increases in rates and the Fire services levy have basically yielded us nothing. Our club range fees are $10 per time yet we only r...

Leasing a range

Our club leases part of our land to the SSAA, the lease is up for renewal, trying to work out a fair market value.

Upto 600 yards for rifle, a clay target area, concrete block office including male & female loos. Fortnightly Sunday access.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Re: Travelling to and from shoots and fatigue

So are you saying, at least at 3.5 hour drive to work, then a 12 hour shift, followed by a 3.5 hour drive home ? Or is that the beginning and the end of the week? Either way , not good

Re: F Class Competition in Australia

Barry, pleased to know that you have read the series, but my comment was nothing to do with the content of those books, just the title. Just a tongue in cheek comment to Cory.

Re: F Class Competition in Australia

Scott, you make some very good points but I think you may be missing the point that so far, including you, most posts have been about leaving F Standard alone. Which I whole heartedly support.

Cheers
