Re: More on Barrel Tuners

I always thought that the best point of exit of projectile from the barrel was the antinode. The node is the point of maximum velocity of vibration where small speed variations of the projectile cause the largest elevation spreads. The antinode being that point where the vibrating barrel changes dir...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

It's a great pity that not all clubs see it as you do Mick.

Re: More on Barrel Tuners

Take note that with positive compensation it is only applicable to one single distance. At all distances before and after vertical spread still occurs. So for total control over vertical spread you need to compensate at each distance, which can be obtained by various methods, eg, load variation, sea...

Re: tell me about tuners for fclass

My experience with tuners is that they will not replace tuning on load and seating but are good for that final " fine tune "
The best tuner in the world will not tune a poor load / seating combination.

Re: ATR magazine name change

As I said on another topic -- maybe it's not that we require new disciplines, maybe it's just discipline that is needed. It seems to me Danny that TR is the one making up the numbers with F Class in the majority. I have no problem with TR, but I do have a problem being treated, at worst, unequal, an...

Re: ATR magazine name change

We can lead the change, it just takes one State to do so, and the others will follow. Look at how our F Class Winners now get a chair beside the TR Winner. Hi Mike, I was at the presentation both days at Glenrowan but must have looked away at the crucial moment when the F class winners sat beside t...

Re: Leasing a range

Depends on the number of SSAA using the range . If there were 50 of them = $2500 per year.
How many SSAA use the range ?

Re: Leasing a range

Hi Danny,
When we were at Sth Bendigo the VRA charged each club member $50 per year for the use of the range and facilities. And that was whether you used it or not. Club fees were on top of that.
Not unreasonable.

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Just out of curiosity, how many followers does PRS have in Australia? What sort of numbers roll up to one of their championship rounds, i believe they have a circuit of some sort where they shoot for points? Cheers Wal there is a match in Vic this Sunday, limited to 48 spots and quite a few people ...

Re: PRS IS COMING , WE HAVE TO EVOLVE !

Question,
Why would you need to brake a 6mm or 6.5 mm do they recoil to that extent? or is it to do with getting back on target quickly? excuse my ignorance.

For ultra accurate loads you still need to weigh. So where is the advantage?

Re: VIC PSR / Course of fire

Reference to the first 3 matches ( at Castlemaine ) have been removed from the VRA calendar -- they were there yesterday???? # 4 Match is still on the calendar ( at Castlemaine ) in November.
Maybe they have been moved to another venue?
